Each parent (for me) has heard, tell their children - with the incredible freedom throughout the summer - "I'm bored!" As a life coach and executive, I say that every summer of my clients, their parents what they should do to ensure that their children require active, engaged and not bored During years three major months (for children I).
You know how it works. Your children are around next summer, when the school year is excited at the end. Then, for the firstWeek or so that are all shot balls of energy. Then run out of energy and things to do. It feels, "I'm bored" and "what now?" Your summer has just turned ugly.
First of all let me say that it is easy for children to be bored during the summer, because they have so much freedom. But using the freedom of childhood is often the strongest of all the chains, a slave master, boredom annoying as punishment. My faith and the study showed that children do not need fullFreedom. Children need structure to grow and be fulfilled.
Here's my simple three-step process for removing the boredom of your child during the summer months.
Step 1
We recommend that you sit with your children before school-is-out-for-summer hits and write a list of their goals for the summer. Setting goals is the most important step you can protect your child from getting bored during the summer months. Ask your child these questions (and note theAnswers):
- What new sports would you like to learn?
- What new challenges to deal with you?
- What are the new books that you read?
- What are the new attractions that you want to see?
- What are the new skills you want to learn?
- Which area (s) wants to improve?
Step 2
Next - with the goals as your guide, should you and your child ren () write week after week calendar of summer activities for them. (I really recommend you all summer plannedDay by day, but let me leave this facility.)
Step 3
Then follow the schedule.
My children have not uttered the phrase: "I'm bored" when I started this approach in the summer. I'm too busy, busy and happy to be bored! And yours will be as good. And I know your children and my eyes once again (as we parents do) and say how great this or that summer for what he did.
To help spin, me, you (see below) a list of 301The things the child can do in the summer. Many are low cost or no cost. This list will ensure that no child need ever be bored.
The following is a list of 301 measures to help your child, your family and takes full advantage of the warm season and sparks of creativity that Summer is the best time of year! Your child is on the list box, locate and select all the activities that interest them and get started. Some of the proposed activities will require parental permissionbut most are suitable for your child to complete alone.
